I've searched but been unable to find a definition list acronyms on this forum. Does such a place, link or chain exist here? Thanks.

There isn't any.
Please let us know what you want to know. Acronyms come and go as quickly as knives come and go. To get you really confused, BM can mean both Battle Mistress (busse knife) or Benchmade.
I've been wondering for years what LDC stands for.
anyone?

Too bad no such thing exists here, that would be helpful to newbies like myself, but like you say many of the words must come and go.

SAK is what I'm looking for and guessing K is for Knife but no idea about the SA.

Don't know LDC either, sorry.

Swiss Army Knife. Usually Victorinox, considered to be the better of the two by most folks, the other company is Wenger.
Glad to help. Please ask if you need any more info.

Thanks Walking Man, that was driving me crazy! Can't think of any others offhand, but I'll let you know if so. Thanks for the offer.

Hey Walking Man! Or anyone! What's LOL? Lots of luck? Little Old Lady? I see it everywhere but I can't figure it out. :

I you help me, I'll take back that comment I made about HP Lovecraft.

Whew!! Thanks KnifeRat! We've really gotta' start an acronym page.

LDC? Light Duty Carry?

Gents,

You aren't talking about acronyms; you're talking about initials.

An acronym is a word made up from the initial letters of other words, e.g. laser or NATO.

How would you pronounce EDC, BM or ROTFLMAO?

Point44, are you going help the newbies out or do I have to stick bananas in your tailpipe?
That is, Why the heck didn't you just say they mean Chris Reeve Knives and Every Day Carry.
..
Still looking for the meaning of LDC here, please.......

That's not much help Otter, but that is what I'm talking about.
I see those darned 3 letters everywhere, but I have never seen an explanation. If you hang out long enough you can figure most of them out, but not that one......
