• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

have a"knife"day

When I can, I prefer buying my custom knives from the maker himself. I enjoy the personal relationship it fosters. I've also had good experiences with a variety of dealers including J. Bruce Voyles (jbrucevoyles.com), Bill Claussen at Nortwest Knives (nwknives.com), Rhett Stidham, and Gary Shaw.

I agree tom. When looking for folders or such, I email people and always mention "this is Tuff (my name now, I post under this name at so many forums) and tell them I'm from, and saw their add at, bladeforums. Let them know they're ads here work if it did...

A lot of people come in the forums, learn all about a knifemaker and knife then go to a show and buy the knife directly from the maker. This would be another good time to give the forums a little credit for providing
the information that lead to the sale.

I don't buy that many (ducking flames and stones), but I've had real good experiences with Josh at pvknife, Patrick at tripleaughtdesign, and am about to do a deal with Mike at M&M. All very nice guys to deal with.

It's not always price with me, more I'm looking to develop relationships with people who can provide good service and selection. I don't mind paying a bit extra for good service, although I'm not with any of these guys!

I'm more of a private buyer but MJS Knives, Ironstone Hawaii, and Discount Knives treated me pretty good.

I always check with MJ&S when I get the urge for a new purchase because of the service and competive prices. If Mark does not have what I am looking for I will check 1stop to help support this site.

i've had the plessure of dealing www/ patrick at triple aught several times. the knowledge and service are top drawer.
