Plain edge Remote Release question

Have had a plain edge Remote Release and a serrated edge for some time now. Sold the plain edge to a BF member who said they talked to Spyderco today about if it being a plain edge is the real deal.They(spyderco) said they never made a plain edge????? Will someone please put the fellow BF members mind at ease that they did make a plain edge Remote Release and that this is not a ground down Serrated vr. Thanks -Todd

The older Remote Release in AUS-8A steel came in both the serrated and plain varieties. The more recent release in VG-10 was only serrated afaik. The EMT variety in black and orange were also serrated, but were the sheep's foot blade. The source at Spyderco just didn't go back far enough.

The discontinued C30 Remote Release came in PE and SE. The C30SBK2 (it's the actual knife with Vg-10 blade) comes in SE only.
For the records: My Remote Release in PE has G-2 blade.
