I thought that for all of those who want a plain edge Harpy I'd post this picture of an old SS handle one along with a G10 and a regular SS version. If you look close you can see the spring for the lock passing by the vent hole. The sping is formed from the back handle spacer.

Kdarmy - Very nice pics. thanx.

The one piece back spacer/spring was used on the early CoPilot as well. They were differentially heat treated.

That plain edge is a very rare piece.

Keith:
Thanks for pointing out the spring...I honestly had not noticed the difference when I got the plain-edge. Just took it from the box, and put it right in the display-case with it's cousins. Glad to know we have a desireable variant in this one.
(Nice scan, too!)

Is that pressure treated pine under those ....lol - just kidding.

I had a PLAIN SS Harpy for a while but decided that I was an USER more so than a collector of knives. So I sold it to another BF member.

I use my serrated G-10 Harpy everyday .... I love it. Mike Sastre turned me on to them a while back. You need a chic River City sheath for yours if you carry one.

I had a source for the Plains, but I think Hawkbill got the last one.

Hey Ray!
When I bought mine, I believe there was one more. However, that was the beginning of Y2K (right after NOTHING happened).
