Planning next years knives

BLADE US made Knife of the Year: Kershaw Speedform.

Kershaw and RJ Martin: Volt.

I'm really looking forward to receiving these as well, but since I paid for them in 2009 I don't count them. Right now the only things that I am waiting for and still have yet to pay for are the two different versions of the Spyderco Ti Military and the A.G. Russel Acies. Other than those I have a knife with Matt Cucchiara right now that he's doing some work on and I really need to send in a couple knives to STR as soon as he feels better for some tip up deep carry conversions. I'll be attending the NYCKS in February so we'll see what I pick up there. I've been thinking about a Rockstead knife, but dang they are expensive.

Sweet. I'm jealous as hell about your Martins! But for me, the Volt and Speedform will be the first knives I pay for. Unless Menefee, Coats, Erickson or Alsdorf presents one I cant resist.

2010: The Year of the Slippie!

i would love to get a kershaw speedform, scallion, and composite leek. benchmade 630, 760bk, and 14255 and a few others.

A few customs as im heading more and more towards custom knives. On the mid-tech side of things im sure ill acquire at least one busse as they put out at least one knife a year that is between the about 5-8 inch blade length region that i love so much. I'll also end up with a tops m4x punisher before the year is out, as well as at least one rat rc-6.

On the non-imediate list ive been eyeing the tops alaskan harpoon, as well as wanting to pick up my first bark river, and getting a fourth sebbie that i promise i wont let sit in the safe this time. also i want a spear point strider smf and a tanto sng. On the other hand i should be getting married in the next 2 years and going back to college and finally getting a car that works so my knife buying habits are about to be seriously curtailed in the next few years

I've got lots of knives on the want list, but I'm probably going to end up with (this is the max) an original Manix, a Kiwi, a Stretch 2, a Gayle Bradley and two fixed blades, plus anything interesting that comes out. Next year is going to be school first, knives second for me.

I just ordered a douk-douk and a mercator k55k. Nothing too ambitious. Oh well, there was also a nice carbonsteel solingen slipjoint in that order. With handle scales in ivory (from prewar german stock that still can be sold legally).
