I'm planning to do a complete survival based review of one of my knives...

THere are allot of great knife reviews on this forum that depict great blades making curls, and slicing food, and batoning (all good stuff)

but I'm planning on reviewing the blade in question, by actually using it as a primary tool to construct prioritized needs in a simulated survival situation

ie using the knife to make a complete shelter, and bed, out of all natural materials..fashioning a bowdrill set with the knife.. processing all stages of fire wood with the knife. maybe using it to fashion a container to boil water, and carving a series of traps and some fishing gear. with it followed by processing a whole rabbit or fish or both these will be ( bought however) unless I manage to get out bunny hunting before the end of the season..we'll see how far I go with it right now its just an idea.. but what do you all think?
anything else you'd like to see?

Sounds great.

Excellent call Riley, I've been wanting to do this for a while. I'd like to take just one of my 4" scandis and seeing how I fare.

I would be highly interested in that.

It would be interesting to do 2 separate tests. One 4" FB and 7" or larger FB, then time each activity. See which one is more efficient all around.

I know you might not have the time for such a test.

Thanks

I'd be quite interested as well. your vids are great, I am sure this won't be any different.

thanks for all your kind words guys... I'll do the best I can... I should have some new videos by the end of the week as well..
