Just keep it how it is - think of it as a beautiful battle scar 
I had Enduras and Voyagers with integral plastic clip and never broke them with over a decade of hard use and couple trips around the world, lots of training yanking it out of pockets and off of my waistband too - you guys are too hard on stuff haha
