Questioning using a bread knife to cut plastic.
Maybe it's just me, but any of my EDC's cut plastic just fine. Cutting plastic is in the job description as to what I expect an EDC to do on a daily basis. If it won't cut plastic, it does not belong in my pocket.
It is not a matter of what "can" be used to cut plastic, it is an issue of what is "better" at cutting plastic.
I can cut plastic with my plain edged Military. But I can cut plastic faster and longer with my full-serrated Military.
Try it for yourself. I did a test using some 1/2 inch polypro rope, with draw cuts. That, and experience with zip-ties, has led me to prefer serrations for cutting plastic.
