I'd show you - but you couldn't afford it (plus you would be addicted and my wife might not like it too much ;) I'm an RMT)

Looks like a fun time- most of those plants are not local so it is nice to see some pics of them in use.

Thanks for the post !!!!
Joe gets to hang out with all of the COOL GUYS from the Mid West to Canada!!

Looks like a great time was had by all - Ken it seems like you never pass up a chance to play with Rick's tool

:D

I noticed that too, but I didn't want to say anything. Did you ever see that pic of Rick with the knife in hand?
:p

Nice pics. That small S curve does look really comfortable, I like the design too.

How is chaga tea? I so far have only used my tinder fungus for firestarting and demonstration purposes, mainly because I can't find it locally and thus my supply is quite limited.

I really like the small glowing ember floating off to the side of your face. Great job of catching that.

Sounds like you had a good time. I need to try to find a place like that around here to go out and practice some skills. Right now I'm relegated to practicing firemaking in the backyard.

And he gets to hang out with Rick !:D

I would have expected more from a fellow Canuckian:grumpy:

:p

Great photos Ken! I had a good time. It has been too long since I was wandering through the woods (off trail). It's beginning to get cooler, so I'm a bit more mobile. Lazy guys don't like to sweat. Next time, you guys come down to my village.... we gonna get us some beach!

I ate my burdock root today. First boiled it, then put it on the grill...

Yummy! Tastes like turnip and potato.

Throw in some a little wild carrot seeds, and you have some flavour!

Or better yet, next time, I'll bake it with a little bergmont...

Thanks for sharing Ken. Believe it or not, I learn a lot from you and Rick.

Fortunately it's not anything that can't be fixed with a few letters to "Dear Abby".

I am impressed with Ken's growing knowledge of botany. I need to expend a little more effort in that arena.

Ken has a large sponge-like brain. You can actually hear it swishing and clicking and stuff... especially, when he gets excited... it's rather unsettling.
