Playing with knives in quarantine?

SavageSick SavageSick , LOL! How long does it take to sharpen a 3" in super steel?

After all these years I do not think there is a set "time." For example, I once had a "simple folder" that just didn't want to get sharp. It was about 9:00PM, I'm retired, so I went over everything, just to make sure.

Then I noticed that 'light' was reflecting off my fixture and the knife. I was initially ticked, until I looked out the kitchen window.

...dawn was breaking...

Went to the range today. Practicing 100yd shooting with my .22 rifle. Then some fun plinking with my new .22 pistol.
Accompanied by one of my all time favorite EDC folders, the GB2.

You know that you're truly alive whenever time flies by like that

When I asked about going to the bank to get the rest of the rent that is due, I was informed:
"You're going to have to wait. No one in or out."

I'll presume that "no one in or out" does not include staff, since they are not bunking here.
They do have to ring the doorbell, and get their temperature taken before they can come in though.

If anyone develops a temp of 101 or more, we get to go on full quarantine for a minimum of two weeks.

I don't know where staff will bunk during that time. I do know it won't be with any of the residents. I guess that would be against both state and federal regulations and rules. Something about "taking advantage" of us old fogies.

We only have her staff ... if one wants to help keep me warm at night, I don't see how she would be "taking advantage" of this old fogy ... Besides, it ain't like I would start taking my clothes off when I went to bed.
I ain't mean. I don't want one of them to get ill from seeing me sans clothing. (ew) Not to mention I'm old enough to be most of them's grand daddy.

Not on lockdown yet, but have been staying home when im not working. Bad thing is, left my only sharpener (Sharpmaker) an hour away at my buddies house. Guess I'll just rotate knives until I finally drive and get it back.

I'm in the Eastern portion of Los Angeles Co.
No restrictions yet on anything as far as lock downs. Stores have plenty of supplies and just stocked up on beer and booze :)
My company is instituting a self stay at home policy without pay for up to 2 weeks. I am not doing that but some are. We might not have a choice pretty soon.

LOL!

How long does it take to sharpen a 3" in super steel (e.g. M390, S90V)?

My first time sharpening M390 (BM Contego), took me a good half hour.

Get some DMT stones. More like 3 minutes with those.

Staying at home and playing with knives all day sounds like fun but likely means you're single.

I'm now just waiting to be called to volunteer.

At least I won't go crazy at home, and if I get infected - that's a risk I'm willing to take...
