I'm a city boy, so my Izula rarely gets to cut anything other than cardboard, plastic, and string, but we're doing some pruning in the backyard and I couldn't let the branches go to waste.

I'm not a hardcore bushcraft/camping enthusiast, but I like to get out into the woods for a little bit of an extended stay with family/friends every now and then, so I kind of know what I'm doing. Anyway I had some extra time to kill and decided to carve up this test stick. The Izula did a great job. Keep it up, ESEE.

(Pictures were taken with my phone, forgive their less than stellar quality)

Looks like the Izula did a great job on the stick. Is that a bamboo stick?

No, it's not bamboo. To be perfectly honest, I'm not exactly sure what type of wood it is. It came from a group of little saplings in a corner of the yard. It's got a long, straight grain, and the core is pulpy and soft, kind of like a sponge.

You must be a city boy, your Izula looks pink. :p I couldn't resist. Nice work on the stick, better than I could do I'm sure.
