So - Christmas present from Wife was a CRK (with a price limit of $500, but I fudged just a bit) for me to choose. I called Plaza Cutlery today and talked to Dan. He spent several minutes without rushing me and we found a cool Sebenza 21 (small) that was perfect. But the point of this thread is that the customer service and concern that he showed was outstanding. This was my first purchase from him, but he even remembered an email discussion that we had a while back regarding a Ken Onion mid-tech Ripple.

I guess you kinda had to be on my end of the phone to get the full flavor of this call, but I was very, very impressed and plan to do future business with those guys. Great folks, great service.

Now the wait until my knife gets here... :D

These folks are local to me and the store is even more impressive. I have yet to find a dealer with more CRK inventory than Dan has. They sharpen my knives for me when I'm there as well. Definitely a top notch crew.

I've done business with them in the past also(William Henry), shop has a good reputation for sure....

I only live a 10 minute drive away from Plaza Cutlery, and only a 5 minute drive away from the Surefire factory/headquarters! DOUBLE WIN!!!

They put on a hell of a knife show as well. Its a great place to just go in and handle knives. Very down to earth people who take the time to get to know their customers.

Live about 30 minutes away but I try to go at least once a month to see what they have! They are a great bunch of people and super friendly. I actually got my first XM18 from there and it's one of their exclusives with dog paws! By the way great purchase on the Sebenza hope you enjoy it.

Truly a terrific place. Their selection is one of the best, if not the best, of any retail store in this country. Definitely west of the Mississippi. And their customer service is beyond remarkable.

Thanks, but I no longer have it as Wife took the one in my pic above for her small collection of knives. Kinda proud of her collection (a variety of about 20 knives) but taking my only CRK at the time was a bit depressing. :( Well, at least I can visit it when I want to.

I'm now working with Dan to get a different small 21 UG. I found a snakewood inlay elsewhere and bought it as PC was out of them, but Dan has a unique version of "Night Sky" that I want when he gets them in. Also have plans to buy a Ti Lock from him later this year. Great people. Can't recommend them enough.

There is actually another place (Ross Cutlery) in downtown Los Angeles. Their selection is about 5 times more than Plaza Cutlery. Plaza cutlery has hundreds of knives, Ross Cutlery has thousands of them.

However Plaza Cutlery does carry higher end knives like Hinderer XM-18's, Winklers, Chris Reeves, Striders, and even some super high end customs! Both of them are great places that every knife knut should visit at least once in their lives. The first time I went to both those places I almost popped a stiffy, and you will too!. :D

One of the owners of Ross Cutlery is the father of the dude who owns Protech knives. They have a huge selection of Protechs in stock if thats your cup of tea or whatever.
