i got one of the preons as an EDC light and im very happy with it, it uses 1 AAA mine is this same one from said dealer, ( i think its a preon stealth? i dunno if it even makes a difference but i went with the black one ) it has a strobe, blinking, brighter blinking, and S.O.S. feature as well, i have droped mine twice on concrete and it went unharmed so im very happy with it i think after shipping it will just hit $40

edit: im sorry the color is " stealth black " and its a preon 1 if that matters lol

The Maglight XL 50 is a impressive light for $29.00. Runs on AAA batteries with one high (104 lumens) and a low setting. Simple and well built with the Mag reliability, very bright and excellent battery runtime options. Surefire is my favorite and the Fenix LD10 I have is awsome, but the XL50 stands up well for the price and quality.

Fenix or 4Sevens offer huge bang for buck values in LED flashlights. The Mag-lite 2xAA LED model is okay but, Fenix and 4Sevens lights blow it away. Put a little Fenix 1xAAA on your keychain for convenience too.
