The main features are need are really just a few:
Pliers, wire cutter, screw driver, maybe a "puncher", and something to pound with.
Want very heavy duty.
Any suggestions?
 
All Multi's are by deffinition light to medium duty , owing to investment cast plier heads . As far as plier strength - Victorinox has the cleanest castings , SOG has a rep for Uber strong pliers - personally , I think it's an Urban ledgend ( this advantage is offset py crude implements ) .


As far as what you are looking for I would say Vic. Swisstool , Leatherman Supertool 300 , and Leatherman Surge . The new , not released Leatherman MUT might do it for you , it actually has a pommel optomized for pounding . Sadly it won't be out till Sept and will have a high street price ( bout $150 ) .

Pair up an alox Victorinox SAK and some heavy duty pliers?
