has anyone other than me here got an invite to make a knife for actor Paul Walker? for his up coming movie?

I'm just wondering if it's a hoax, I have some investigations to do and it's starting here..
I hope it's for real :D and not someone looking for a free knife.. :(

I haven't heard from him either, but not too many people have accused me of being a knifemaker :D

Never heard of him at all, much less in reguards to making a knife for him.
Severtecher, what is the IMDB.com???

Internet Movie Data Base, it's a great site for everything about virtualy every movie, actor, director etc in the English language and quite a few from off shore.

Dan, I would never consider making a knife for a movie for free - those guys have budgets for that stuff. If someone is looking for a free knife for a movie, they're pulling your leg.

he has done a few flicks now..so that's good..here's a little on him

Dave ,,the agent didn't ask for it to be free and I told him before I thought much about it..
it would be ~$625.00. and I first though as you,,

now thinking about it and with some feed back from some e-mails to some knife making bothers we know right here.

to get credits on a movie as payment should and I believe would do so much more for me, if I to do this ( think about the cars some of these guys get free just for the credits  ).. he picked out one of two on my site he likes
( before his agent called me)
that has already been made and repeated in the past, so if this does happen the guys that have bought that model from me in the past, will be some very happy campers down the road..especially if the movie is a Box office hit :D

I'm hyped :D

You should ask for 50% upfront as typically actors/ agents do not ask for their own props -studios usually hire people to arrange for that. -Just my .02. (From my years in LA LA Land, plus being friends with Fred Weintraub and a couple of other people in the film industry). Good luck.

Good luck Dan, sounds like a great opportunity.

thanks again guys.

Jimbowie7 thanks,, I for sure don't know how it works..
from what I gathered, This mike was looking for a knife he liked and wanted
and found me some how and got his agent to call me..just waiting for the agent to call me back now..he did mention he would have to make a rubber dummy of it for the stunts.

Hey Dan, Maybe you could get IG to play the part of the Rubber Dummy......... :D
I heard that!!! :grumpy: After all the nice things I say about you. NOT HEHEHEHE!!!! :D I wonder how much it would pay???? Sounds like my type of role.  :D

......typically actors/ agents do not ask for their own props
While not usual, it's not unknown - Tom Selleck for one ordinarily buys much of his own gear, at least the cowboy gear. Others I know that have done the same are Tom Beringer, Sam Elliott, Harry Carey, Jr, and of course Sly Stallone, who purchased several knives over the years for his roles.

IG, About time I got you back! I think you would do a great job! And yes I saw what you said about the glare comming off my head, pretty funny....... Sorry Dan, I just can't help myself.
