please all makers look here, and let me know,,

Best of luck, Dan. Some of the actors may be OK people, but don't even mention the name of Stallone to Bill Moran!

Its another feather in your hat. Make sure $$$ is payed and you get an autograph photo with actor and your knife. Great display piece.

Don Sounds like Sly slide some,, what happen in Bills case

good Thought Kim thanks..

The agent returned my call yesterday..I called him back because when I first talked to him I told him a price as the knife was and I wanted to make sure the deal was open for Talks..
he's making sure of the knife Paul Walker wants. he knows he doesn't want the original length blade he wants it to be 9" so it should show up in the movie at least..
he said he has to talk to the producer to make sure of the credits, and thought it would be ok..
he said he'll call back and talk money and get a deal going..

I did ask him if he would mind if I bombed him with questions.. said know problem.. :)
a lot of stuff gets lost if it's not done right I guess.

I just don't know how to make sure the deal goes down right..
Contract I guess? we'll see.. :) thanks guys.

I'll remember you all when I get rich and famous.. really I will :D :D
I'm not going to hold my breath :) :D

Congrats Dan! im happy for you bud!
hopefully it all works out great for you!
i want your autograph :D
Joe

Something that just popped into my head, is that you should make the agreement so that you retain rights on the design of the knife. If it turns out like the next rambo knife, or tom brown tracker you're going to want your peice of the pie! :D

Matt thanks another thing I'll keep in mind

Thanks Guys.. :)

Dan, Aaron Riley at Severtech made ,i believe, 9 knives for the movie "Spartan". All were "given" to the production company. They only had 1 in the movie so I assume the producer, director, propmaster, etc. all got one. It got Aaron a lot of attention but as a "part time" 1 man shop the value is limited. Very high coolness factor though, having your knife as a movie star.I have his phone # if you want to talk to him.

Dan, Don't forget about getting IG the double part. Have you any idea what the movie is going to be about?
:D

I think he told me the name of the movie but getting excided about it
I didn't write it down, and with this big amount of air space between my ears
it shot right out the other ear to somewhere unknown :o

I need an agent to do this stuff right?? haha
I think I know what and how I want to do this, with you guys input..Thanks.

I'll have some questions for him in this next talk.. he said he wants to talk price and stuff. he was exspecting to pay I belive by asking me in the first place about price, ..

I think what I'm going to do is,
charge a reasonable price for the knife and ask for credits and what ever else I can get for this one ,
telling him too many makers have fallen through the cracks on first time deals as this..
this way if something does screw up, at the least I'd have gotten paid for it...
and if it is shown in the movie, ( being a skeptic here) I can say it was
mine
..I'll post the knife here on BFC
for proof of picture a time/date stamp and you all can be witness to it. ;) :)
I'll tell him, if he wants to work with me again we can work out a better deal if he believes there is one.,,
more is better... :)
and at that time I'll have a positive knowledge of who I'm really working with..
and their intent..

sounds great, are you going tost pics of the knife and rubber one also?

sure will
time dated and proof of blade right here.. :D

the guy that I thought was his agent
(that hearing thing you know  )
is the property master, something or rather. Paul told him the knife he wants me to make , it turns out that the knife plays a roll in the movie too, starting out in about in the first 1/4 of the film.. it's going to be cool how it turns up in his hands :D

Thats just awsome Dan!!!

Now I want to make a knife for a movie! :(

Too cool.
Mace
