Hey, Danbo, more to the point, who was the guy who first decided that that slimy looking mess of snot inside an oyster shell :barf: might really be good to eat? Turned out that he was right, and with a vengeance! :D :)

Gee, what happened to "being nice' on 9/11?
Anyway Mhael, there are many knifemakers here who make traditional style blades, I'm sure some one could accomodate you. Keep away from references which are not widely familiar ("lotr" for example- I wouldn't catch this at first glance), instead just give specs (e.g. 18 in. two-edge blade, carbon steel like 5160 or 1095, brass dual guard, etc) and if possible blade style or link to a picture of something similar, you will get names of makers who enjoy this kind of work. Perhaps you can also look into makers specializing in historical knifes, there are many in Shoptalk here.

I just have to say that I also thought Gollnick's post was hilarious; and the laugh was really needed. Some of you need to lighten up.
I didn't get the first post, even though I had previously wondered about knives and swords from the movie. Turns out FullerH summed up all the answers very nicely, thanks for the information. It is kind of sad that the copyright issue prevents someone from making a quality, non wall-hanger version.

Snoopy, yes it is very sad, as i would really like a usable copy of Sting. I think that this is a very nice little leaf blade, and it is, for me, the most aesthically pleasing of all of the swords that I saw in "Fellowship of the Ring", including Arwen's.

Allan Massey from Nova Scotia, Canada, says he loves to make celtic leaf-shaped blades.

That's his website: http://members.attcanada.ca/~armjan/Index.html

Those are the blades:

Mhael, hope you plan to stick around despite being mocked and ridiculed by one guy and having others report how funny they found it. Quite a warm welcome, eh?

Mhael- It's not too often a newbie comes in and asks a question which is over people's heads. You cut his Mohawk off with that one. Don't let the Bastids get you down, stick around, ignore the ignorant, and some people can actually help you (not me in this case, I'm afraid).
Gollnick doesn't own a TV, maybe he doesn't own books, newspapers, or knife magazines, either.

What in the heck to you plan to do with this fancy, fantasy blade?
