  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Please bring back chinook2 !

I'm in!
Sold my last one about a year ago and highly regret it. :(

Sweet i didn't get into spyderco before this knife was long discontinued, look forward to the new chinook.

I have the Spyderco Chinook II from 2006 with a 3.75" ComboEdge blade of S30V (0.156" thick), G-10 and backlock. It'll be nice to see it back with that blade shape!

That's good news! In general I am a fan of FFG, but I hope this one comes back with a hollow grind like before.

Casual bombshell from Sal, my wallet is already in pain.

I have been looking for a chinook already. Definately picking this up on preorder.

We're planning a "Power-Lock" as used in the "Tatanka".

Thanks for the info!

Is there somewhere I could find more information about the Power-Lock, what makes it desirable, etc?

The see-through picture above is pretty cool.

Edited to Add:

I think I get it now, the small piece of steel compresses between the blade and stop pin, using compression to hold the blade open instead of the tension in a normal lock back? Please let me know if I'm misunderstanding something :D
