yes, very good overall experience. Go for one of their sales. There is usually one every other month.

Read the reviews before you buy and realise that if something is ridiculously cheap then it is probably a scam. You will still get your money back.

I have never bought anything.....
Is this a new thread topic that will replace the great Ganzo debate.....LOL

Well, it's a thread about Ali Express...what did you expect it to generate? Frankly, we shouldn't even be discussing it on this site, IMO. (But I didn't let that provoke the thread's closing.)

They are a legitimate resale organization tied in to online retailers like Amazon and others. If you can find a good deal, I see no issue using them, or discussing them openly. I have never used them, but I do know several folks that do for small items and consumables like edm stones, saw blades, drill bits, etc.

I've bought quite a few things over the years from them, and so has my wife. Once something didn't arrive, and Ali refunded me fast. Another time something my wife bought came with a problem, and she was refunded without having to send it back (a picture showing the problem was enough). Talking customer service specially, I'd put them a class above Amazon, Walmart, etc.

Been a few years ago now but I ordered a bunch of surround sound and stereo wiring and parts and a bunch was from Ali. Couldn't find a single source for banana plug ends, spade ends, pin screw end, and more. I swear each component had a different plug it wanted. What shocked me more than anything was I was getting small packages direct from China in a couple of days when some of the stuff shipping from a state or two over were the ones I waited a week or more to get. Didn't make sense.

For the same reason we don't link to or refer our members to Amazon is the reason why. Though "deal spotting" is prohibited, it still goes on and it violates the TOS.

What people do off the forum is their business...and their money. But we've always taken that stance.

(And Amazon has had its share of controversy, even when it comes to otherwise legit goods...so caveat emptor always applies.)

For the record, I buy a lot of goods off Amazon, or did until they stopped delivering here because of the storm. Now I can't get anything from them, let alone their taking their sweet time on refunding money already paid for goods not delivered.

Bottom line...enough people seem to be satisfied, so it appears they may be a worthwhile shopping venue for items sought. And that's really as far as we can legitimately take it since we can't point to specific products (as they are not a site supporter).
