Okay, it's cool looking, but I don't really understand how or why it would be more useful than an SJ or a Hell Razor. In other words, I don't get it.
All help is appreciated.
BTW, I'm not a hunter, so if it's a hunting thing with a big fat belly for hunting, then I might understand.
Thanks.

Cool looking little knife with what looks like a slight recurve. Not sure if it's got a specific application or not, but I like it.

(Maybe it's made to really bust tanks? :p )

I see it as possibly being the new version of the ergo Badger, short and fat? Thoughts?

Could be. It's got the spine similar to a HR, but lines like a small badger. Looks like it would be a good skinner.

This model has never really appealed to me. I doesn't appear that it would have specific attributes that can't be found in other Busses. The sweeping deep belly may make it a good skinner, but not special enough to put it near the top of my "to buy" list. I think for skinning a dedicated skinner like the PBS, but without the pointy tip would be a cool product. I've wanted to try a PBS but a blunt blade tip like classic skinners seems more effective to me. I guess we'll see what it's good for when the hogs get them in hand;) .

Yes...it is a horrible blade don't buy any! That leaves more for ME!!!! It is a new style.....I REALLY like and that is why I have passed on the Badger Tac...I don't like the look of it....too many other blades to fill that slot in my group. But that Tank Buster is an outstanding design and I will find a use for it!

Actually, I don't care for ANY Tacs....I don't like the handle, same thing with Swamp Rats New line. But the Tank Buster, I will try. The Straight Handles with smooth bolts are THE MOST comfortable blades I ever held and then the Fusion, then Ergo.....I wouldn't even own a TAC so I will leave them off my list.

I think there are already too many knives that are basically the same size and function, Busse needs to concentrate their efforts on something we really need like a FOLDER!!!

I agree!!! I really hope Boss Hog doesn't change a thing for the SH1 anniversary blade... It's perfect just like it is! :) :) :)

OK... maybe a spine logo too. :D

Personally, I find it very appealing. It seems to fill the role of a small Hell Razor. (A Badger is to a FSH what a TB is to a HR?) Sort of a big Groove Master?

i find i really like it. it seems short and fat, looks like it would take quite the beating. :)

Me too. I want one. An LE. Looks like a great knife. I hope it's next.... But it will probably follow the anniversary knife..... We'll see......

I just hope I have the cash and the skills for a Mud Street first though.....

Oh my....

Although my preference is currently for this one...............

Badger, Badger, Badger ...............

I like both the BA TAC & the Tank Buster... the one thing I wish, is that Busse would put a smaller choil (GW size) on blades this size.

I know it wont happen to the BA TAC... it's already in release... but maybe, just maybe they will change it on the TB. :)

And I think you're right PM... The TB looks like it would be a great companion blade for the FSH.  Good thinkin'!!!

I like the recurve of the TB and just its diff look alltogether. I am not as big a fan on of the badger, to me it looks like you could just buy a Satin Jack and be happy or visa versa. The TB is diff than others in the lineup and thats more the reason to like it for me. I do hunt and could use it for that, personally I cant wait till it comes out though I know I'll have to wait.

Yeah, it definitely looks like it would be a good skinner (with lots of belly.) Some people will only skin w/drop points or rounded-nosed knives -- but I like clips and even trailing points -- just have to be a little careful.

With a name like TankBuster, I'm guessing it'll end up being 1/4" --- which is a shame (for skinning) - i'd like to see it be 3/16...

Honestly, I think it fills a gap better than the BA-Tac does... The BA seems too close to the SJtac to be all that different. But the Tank Buster, with it's different blade profile will be a useful addition. (I did order 3 BA-tacs, even though i didn't NEED them ;) :D )
