I didn't camp out but out of the 5 that I preordered I got 4 of them today
I was going to list them on ebay but sold 3 simply by word of mouth locally for 3k each. The 4th one I donated to a local toy drive... Figured I could make some child happy this holiday season. When my other one show's up it's a keeper as long as my cousin get's one for his kids... if he don't I'll be forking that one over for them.

People were spending 3-5 days in line. That is insanity.

The smart guy was the one that paid 10 homeless people $100 each to stay in line. He also fed them and gave them warm gear. Nice return on his investment I would say.

Nope... Since I live in a small town only those smart enough to PrePay and PreOrder were even told that this store actually got some. Funny thing was only 3 people including me were smart enough to PreOrder

I walked in after I got off work went to the service desk and picked them up. I did have backup incase I got jumped for one though... Me and my 1911 along with 110 lbs of German Shepherd. Man I love life in a small town

The PS3 is crap, no games and the people that are buying them aren't even keeping them (they know how bad they are).

I think the lack of games is a good reason to wait for one, but they aren't crap. 90% of people of the people that bought them did it to resell. In Japan, .97% of the PS3s that were sold, were sold with a game. I'm going to try to get a Wii tonight without waiitng in any lines. I don't even think they are forming. I agree that the Wii is a much better gaming machine, but the PS3 is an allaround entertainment machine, and Sony have too many good exclusives to not get one.

Nationwide, Gamestop and EB Games stopped taking preorders 22 minutes after they started.

Most are going for 1000 to 2000. Not much different from the xbox 360 this time last year, except the lines started about a day earlier.

Where did you see one on ebay that went for 1k?
