I was given this knife yesterday and would love some info. The knife currently finds itself in South Africa. I have found a lot of info on C. Jul Herbertz but have not yet seen a knife which resembles this one. It may be a very early stamp on the blade as you can see. It grips beautifully and has a lot of weight to it. It measures 11.6 inches length with a blade width of about 1.2 inches.

Does anyone have any information on this specific knife? I appreciate your help

Herbertz is a large knife seller, that does a lot of import and export stuff. The knife itself is made in Italy, and is one of a series that was based on the famous Randall patterns - http://www.randallknives.com/catalog-models/ , namely the #1, 2, and yours, which is sorta a #3/4 hybrid. These date to the late 60's, early 70's. They were also offered through other import/export companies too.
