Please help me decide: BM730 or Wegner or Starmate

Sepp, welcome! I have owned both the StarMate and hte 730 Ares. I carried the Ares about 3 times and traded it at a loss as it was just about the MOST uncomfortable knife that I have ever tried to use. The swell at the base of the scales pressed against my arthritic hands something fierce. It was also difficult to open when compared to the StarMate. I consider the StarMate close to erfection in a folding knife. I have carried it a used it hard for over a year and finally have had to sharpen it last week. It opens easily, cleans easily, carries easily, and the version of the liner-lock that Spyderco uses has never failed on me. Of course, I am not a martial artist practising back-cuts with it, so I am not, perhaps, the best person to comment on that issue. All in all, I view the StarMate as fully the functional equal of the highly vaunted Sebenzas that I have examined, but for 1/3 the price.

Thanks once again for your suggestions, so far I think BM730 is best for me. It seems it's a bit more solid with it's two steel liners and there is one thing I forgot to mention: I'm a leftie.
Spydies with it's round holes can be opened with both hands of course, but what do you left-handed buddies out there say, is it comfortable enough? Especially liner-lock and pocket clip beeing on just one side?
(currently there's no single Wegner or Starmate in my local store here in Zagreb, so I couldn't test them myself.

but hopefully they'll get them soon)
BTW, I couldn't believe my eyes how cheap Spydercos are at that store, micarta Dyad Jr. was 560 kn, which is exactly 70$. Usually, anything American is VERY expensive here (2x or 3x). On the other hand, it IS expensive for our incomes. What do you say fellow Europeans?

An important thing to consider is tip-up or tip-down carry.
Among the Wegner and the Starmate, I can only live with the Starmate because of its tip-down clip. I don't mean to start another "tip-up vs. tip-down" debate, I just say that tip-down is my personal preference, and it is the only reason that I have not considered the Wegner.
So, if you already have other folding knives with a pocket clip, maybe you have already decided what mode of carry you like best.

Sepp,
If you are lefty the problem is pretty clear, from you mentioned knives only Ares is truly ambidextrous. Unfortunately not too many knife manufacturers like lefties

Think also about BM Model 710 Axis Lock and Model 940 Osborne - very nice lefty-friendly knives.

Oh, sorry! I didn't have intention to make your choice harder but I couldn't resist
