Hello,
If you guys had to choose between these 5 (BG WTG being hypothetical ) for general Camping, Hiking, Wood Processing knife to pair up with a folder or a smaller fixed blade. Assuming weight and cost is not an issue.
Which one Would you choose .....? (And Why ?)
Comparison Pics Encouraged lol

●Aged Bronze CGFBM
●BIG NMFSH
●ASH-2
●Battle Saw
●BG WTF

Of course, eventually ill end up with all of the above, but which one 1st ? To replace my User ASH-1 I just sold.
Thank You for your Time.

P.S.
I think I listed them in the Order im leaning to the Most right now, and with the Slowish market, I think theres at least 1 of each available on the Exchange (other than BG WTF offcourse)

Battle Saw and Ash 2 would be my top two. The BS has become my go to biggin. Good luck and enjoy

The BS is long and thin, swings fast and it has a saw. 'Nuff said

I'd go the FBM, NMFSH or the WTF. All big powerful choppers with the Fusion handle design. Arguably one of the best and most comfy full tang handle designs available.

1. nmfsh
2. like the cgfbm, but I'm not crazy about the bronze

You must be David Brown sized if you are considering a wtf for a hiking knife ;)

Excellent options ---- it's honestly way too hard to decide -- I have all those blades, except the BG WTF -- which should be coming in soon and the ASH-2 -- which I sold.

I'd say go for the CGFBM, then the Battle Saw, and then the NMFSH

Pair with INFIDU, Mud Mutt, SOB, Street Scrapper 4, SYKCO Skinner, or Scrapivore CG

ASH-2 would be lightest, as long as it doesn't destroy your pinky. In order, I'd pick the lightest first then the rest of them. I think you'd do yourself a disservice not including the Res-C options though. If I had to carry if far I'd take a 1311, 1111, 9111, or ChopHouse first over any of them. The weight savings and balance of the knives are entirely different.

Before anyone suggests otherwise, I don't skip leg days. I'd just rather carry more booze.

Edited: Of the listed stuff, Bronzed CG FBM all day. I don't understand the dislike of the bronze finish, it's my favorite. It screams 'beat me'.

For camping and hiking I'd choose the smallest and lightest blade on your list. Out of that lineup, it will still get the job done. Not a bad choice on there.

My favorite as an around camp "big whomper" is my Basic 9. That thing has been there and done that, several times.

CGFBM,,, it'sa great performer, and people have been finding tiger hide under the Cerakote

For me it would be either CGFBM or NMFSH. They both perform well for me and are close to the same size and weight.

Those are all good options, but IMO if you are going to be pairing with a smaller knife anyways, you really owe it to yourself to get a NMFBM. I own versions of all of the above (with the exception of the the BG WTF which I will be receiving tomorrow), so I do have some actual experience in the matter. Of course everyone's preferences are different.

Battle SAW, or CGFBM all day, every day-I to like the Cerakote finish, it is much smoother than the regular finish-The FBM and CGFBM are 2 of my favorites-I to prefer the Fusion handles, but the Battle Saw is relatively light and cuts and chops very well-Cheers!!!

Thanks ZMBHNTR, i apreciate your input.... But the Aged Bronze CGFBM just Looks sooo Good lol
BTW i should mention I do have Banned BIG NMFSH and like it, just considering getting a BIG finish Dedicated User with Machined handles

Why not use the banned blade? My AK is banned and it was used within 20 mins of opening it....lol.

For "general camping", I would / do use a SFNO.
The axe and chain saw are for anything that needs chopped or cut.

That was my original plan, use this one, and pick up the CS one from Roeman Satin, with Wooden handles for the collection. But I was too late lol theres a great chance this one will be a user next trip out.
