Please Help Me Decide

I'd pick the NMFSH, just because I use this all the time and I love the results, second for me would be the FBM.

I picked up a NMFSH from Zmbhntr and absolutely love it. Granted it turned me on to wanting a NMFBM some kinda bad....the NMFSH is a great all arounder. To me it can do many small tasks as well.

CGFBM,,, it'sa great performer, and people have been finding tiger hide under the Cerakote

What!! is this some hog treachery,... or some brilliant willy wonka level busse marketing?? tigerhide hmmm..

Anyway I love the CGFBM and it's probably my favorite knife period, not to deny the massive awesomeness of the WTF.

On the other hand the Battle Saw is surprisingly light and quick in the hand and probably the most practical big blade.

Listen to this dude!!!

Basic 11, Battle Saw, ASH 2. think the Battle saw is about awesome for an all rounder, though the ASH isn't too far behind it. That being said, I've never owned a CGFBM, so I can't speak to how that compares...

Thanks for the comparison pic, i dont know why i assumed BS and ASH-2 Were same size lol
I think BS is probably the best looking Stripper out there lol

I agree the BS looks great stripped, but the CGFBM also looks spectacular stripped-Both are great fairly lightweight work horses-Add in the CBT and you have perfection-Cheers!!!

Of those, I'd say strip the CGFBM and convex the edge all the way up to the CBT. Vicious chopper, but still light enough to easily hike all day with.

I´ve got the CGFBM, just sayin..

However.. depending on your preferences..
the ash2 might feel (at least to me) more like a large knife & and the cgfbm more like a chopper.

The battle saw is kryptonite for ~3" saplings!

The ASH 2 isn't terrible for chopping, either:

Though it, too needs to be stripped, I think:

NiddHogg! I'm so jealous right now with the amount of love you've been able to show those blades.

Here's another comparison shot with a 1311, BS, CGFBM

I'd have to go CGFBM off the list, but have to agree with those who pointed to the NMFBM when there's been a few on the exchange for not much more. Been tempted, but have too much on order and I'm not good at selling lol.

For some reason this thread really makes me look forward to when I have a big CG BB13 chopper to pair with a smaller fixed blade like the BME2 :D

Great pics guys!

If you feel like having that CGFBMM with those fancy scales come to TN and clear up some brush, you know where to send it! Heck, if I were still in NY I'd come over and help you deforest upstate!

ha! I'll keep that in mind. Should be getting out of the city again at the end of the month and will hopefully be able to post some dirtier pics. The 1311 and BS have hardly seen any action. The CGFBM has been used plenty but the only real wear on the coating is on top near the tip, not visible in the pics, where I hit it with various batons/logs/boots ect.

Do you knowvif they made those CG FBM with Mag handles ? (I assume the once you have are regular)

I believe they did, this one is definitely regular, but one of the elder hogs may chime in. I started my addiction I think just after the CGFBM was at the shop and this was actually my first score off the exchange from Ban back in the day. I think there was a period as well where people were sending knives in to have spacers added to beef up the handle girth.

She's Beaut, hopefully some one gone let their Safe queen go soon lol
