So Lo,Don't rack your bill up,take your time, and pick one out.You can get a decent production fixed blade, like the BM 210,and modify the sheath(as was mentioned here already),for pocket carry.Get on Charles May's list, and save while you wait,a great value. You do not need to tell the maker what exacts you want, think about it as your order time comes in.

Here's a thought though,I am really into carrying and using my knives.I don't use them hard, but I do use them.I got to thinking,a small fixed blade, clipped in a sheath,in the pocket, that has to be the strongest small practical knife, and no folding/lockiung actions to wear,or foul up.

VCM3: What you said, is one of the reasons that I have been carrying a small fixed blade in my left front pocket. My Arch Ally does this duty inpeccably, as does my Tom Krein TK-2, since I took off it's Tek-lok. I have the TK2 in my pocket now.

TKC,Wait 'til you see my next batch of Kreins, with pocket clip sheaths.A red blk CF TK-1 (S30V) ,pocket clip sheath with alligator inlays (I hope that doesn't offend you),and an Ultimate Caper.I should have them back in two weeks time from now.The TK-1 is a gift for my son,and the Caper is for me.I've been carrying these in my left as well, usually a slip in my right watch pocket, and a clipped folder in my right pocket.Another option,if you get a Krein knife, you can specify the kydex as a "fold over" style,it is a bit thinner.

VCM3: I look forward to seeing your next batch of Krein's!! No, the alligator inlays do not offend me. It isn't something I would want. I LOVE my TK-2. I took the Tek-lok off the sheath, and my TK-2 is doing duty as a pocket fixed blade quite well!!

Maybe its because its my lateat knife purchase, but I've been carrying a Fallkniven F1 both on the belt and in the pocket. It really is a pretty small but capable fixed blade.

I was pushing Dozier's in an earlier post but I just bought a couple of Bark River knives at a gun show today. VERY nice knives in A2 steel for a reasonalble price. AG Russell has them on his website. Check them out also (as was recommeded above).

Good luck

Check out the knives at Shadow Knives. They may interest you and they are a good price.

Just cause no one has mentioned it, the Extrema Ratio Shrapnel is a drop-point 1/4" thick blade a little over 4" long, with an oal a little over 8". It's not as beautiful as a May, Krein, Graham, Dozier, etc... But then you won't be afraid to abuse it... Mine goes almost everywhere with me and i'm crazy about it. Cheers,
-Yogi
