Please help!!!

Like I said, the reason for not tempering was my first blade I ever make (14 years ago in high school) is still going strong! I just ht it and no temper. This was more or less because I was a 16 year old kid that had no idea what I was doing. Now... I understand that it's an important step, but my old process seamed to work fine so I stayed with it. UNTIL NOW of course. I'd love to use 1084, can someone tell me where to get it? I'm in Tennessee if anyone has any classes or want to be a mentor of sorts.

Tenn is a pretty big state - perhaps you could fill out your profile and there just might be somebody close to you.

Alpha knife supply is a good source of blade steel in small amounts. In larger amounts nobody is better than Aldo (NewJerseySteelBaron).

Now you know those old blades are holding up so well because the HT was off a bit - perhaps realistically 50 Rc or so?
