PLEASE HELP!!!

To Brit Guy: No offense taken. That's what this forum is for--in fact, that's what Amercia is for, speaking freely, even if that view is unpopular or in the minority.
In the States, we are going through a contested election. While painful, it's getting people to read the Constitution and the Federalist Papers--something they should have done years before. Unfortunately, an equal number of people vote and offer opinions by "their feelings."
I did not confront you with anything that you will not face 100-fold when you get here. Americans have lost any sense of decorum; heck, one info-babe asked the President what type of underwear he wore.
Since I started graying, I have become aware just how great this country is, and how much I don't care when I'm criticized. You know, if I hadn't picked 'OKG' for my forum handle, I would have picked 'Armed Xenophobe.' It would make one heck of a name for a rock band...--OKG
 
Actually, since the subject of What This Forum is For has been raised, I will let everyone know that this is a Community type thread. It is very welcome in the Community forum. I would have moved it there days ago, but there is a server glitch which prevents movement of threads. I could have closed it, but did not want to do that either. So EVERYONE, please try to post topics in the correct forum in the future.

Brit Guy, good luck! I wish you well in your attempt to move to a country which offers more freedom. The downside is that we have a lot of armed xenophobes and other radical crazy people whose right to free speech is protected by the Constitution, and in here, by me

BTW... while this sounds good, and in a way I agree (I have even said that we Americans have gotten exactly what we deserve in the KlinAdmin), I would be willing to bet that you didn't vote for Klinton or the current administration any more than I did. Anyway.... I probably should shut up now, since Paracelsus is attempting to moderate, even though BigSpark and The Turber have apparently taken the swords from all the moderators.

OBTW, no offense intended. I'm just frustrated with our current election, our government, and ultimately the people that elected the Klintonions

Welcome to the forums, Brit. Hopefully, a welcome to the States will soon be in order as well. The great part of living in the free world, it's just that .. a free world. Feel free to come to the States (but avoid NY.) My suggestion is however, become a citizen as soon as possible. Then exercise your right to VOTE as well as the other freedoms that can be enjoyed here. Most Americans will welcome any such responsible citizen. Good luck and happy holidays. Mike
