Please help

Made it up to Reno but by the time I left the drs. office I wasn't fit to associate with for several hours.

Now cooled down to a dull reddish glow about 5 hours later. After 3 round trips totalling over 800 miles, I have to go back twice more in the next week or two. And that's not the end of it. Got home and walked in the door to be told by my wife when my appointment with the next dr. I'm to see was.

Had Sun,Moon and Stars with me for you to take a picture of. Will bring it next time I come up. Soon. Maybe even before I have occasion to get blood stains all over it.

Rusty, you need to make a trip to the VA hospital with me. Then you'll realize how lucky you are. Take some meds.
 
illegal immigrants in the ER's in Ca., AZ, TX, and NM get better care than veterans in VA hospitals. It's probable my cat got better care at his vet.

I know this because my wife and I through past and present careers have had interaction with the VA's and survivors of VA's.

VA's are a dirty rotten secret.

After saying all this, as bad as I'm jaded, there are vets who cannot get into the VA for any care.

Actually, the VA hospital in Reno is not so bad. I graduated from the one in New Orleans to here so anything is a step up. I think the VA hospital in NO was rated worst in the world -- and based on experience I agree with the rating.
 
There are people in the VA who work their hearts out but they are up against a huge system.

Wonder why so many forumites are hurting middling to lots in their older years? Yes, some have old war injuries. But some are just damaged from living.

Active people get hurt. Maybe active people like khukuris, and that is why so many have pain in common here.

1) after seeing doctors I need meds to calm me- :grumpy:

2) to get those meds I need to see doctors- :barf:

I do.

The bottom line is the VA is a governmentally operated bureaucracy. Employees are almost impossible to fire and the pay is the same no matter whether you cure or kill.
