Hi folks -
One thing that I would add here, in terms of dealing with ebay sellers, I never would deal with a seller who has all of the items for sale listed as "private" when you look at seller feedback.
Additionally, this seller has a couple of customers who have posted feedback saying that the knife the buyer received was a 'replica', and that the seller would not return emails or money.
I normally only buy from sellers with spotless feedback, and ideally the seller will have several hundred sales under their belts.
Case in point - I recently bought a nice Puma Skinner on the 'bay as a gift for a friend.
There were several available for different prices, but I found one seller who had impeccable feedback and many sales. Their price + shipping was not the rock bottom best price, but it was right there.
I bought the knife, and when it was delivered, the knife had a pretty serious blemish on the guard.
I contacted the seller, and they bent over backwards - sending me a new knife on the day that I sent them the return-confirmation number, and the seller immediately offered to pay return shipping as well.
It pays to seek out and patronize the best sellers.
best regards

I buy from Powersellers too. It's worth the extra few bucks. I like the make offer auctions too. I got a really nice "new" BM 890 Torrent buy making a "sane" offer. I have developed 3 guys that I go to anytime I have to use eBay. They know me and vice versa. They have stores, good reps, and a lot to lose from bad feedback. Now I can email them and ask hem for their best price on whatevr knife and they try hard to give me a good deal.
I wouldn't buy from me, even with my 100% positive FB and only about 60 sales last time I looked.
