Hogs/Pigs/Piglets/New Guys,
I felt I had to say this and rather then it be buried amidst other posts, I felt it necessary to post a new thread.
As of late, it has come to my attention that the current situations going on right now are detracting from the enjoyment of this forum. I see many guys posting less and less, that hold VALUABLE information in regards to Busse knives and the likes. I'm finding myself considering letting my Gold Membership expire and merely just check on the home forum for discussion. Why? Because things these days are not how they were a couple years back.
Now don't view this as a "I don't like new guys" or such. What I am saying is if you look back a year or two and further, you will see that the Busse forum was about a family that got together, had fun, trashed their knives, shared what they worked hard for and enjoyed each other's company. They got drunk and had fun and if any trolls or problems came up, they hogged up and took it like a hog and dealt with it in a polite and respectable manner without taking crap.
The current situation in regards to the 72hr bump and other aspects seem to keep coming up. Guys.... WE ARE HOGS!!! HOGS TRAMPLE AT THE TROUGH!!! HOGS ROOT FOR INFI!!! You catch that? Hogs ROOT (Dig, search, hunt, fight) for INFI. I feel that if you think that someone cannot go back 4 pages or more to find a piece of infi, then my friend, that person will always be at the bottom of the infi totem pole in regards to their collection. I know guys that are still searching for a Busse Folder 6+ years!!! And you think these guys can't go back a few pages?
What I am saying is that if you don't want a seperate forum, then abide by Sparks rules. This is his house and he allows Jerry's company, not ours, to have a forum here. I for one do not want to have to apologize to Jerry for making him loose his forum. I know this most likely won't happen, but think about it. Rather then complain that your post is buried, laugh and rejoice that you are making future hogs and current hogs ROOT (What hogs naturally do) for that infi fix.
Now onto the game wardens. This is a dead horse. If guys want to mark them up, so be it. You will have some buyers and some you won't. Understood and discussed. But please consider this. The former and still current with many Hog Attitude in regards to no regrets and buying many is not to use them as trade bait or to resell. They do it to feed their Black Hog Hole. They buy them because they enjoy them. Granted, the trough is a stomping ground on the outside, a free for all, but stop and look back. I have seen many times and still do, Elder Hogs smashing their way through the trough with their wing piglet right behind them. Did the hog get his knife? It doesn't matter to him. What matters is that he helped a piglet out in acquiring a piece of infi so he may enjoy the knife and conversation that comes with it.
Things will always shake the waters and that seems to be happening as of late. But hogs will continue to wallow in the mud, stomp around the trough, help out piglets, and on and on. Just remember this, Hogs will grunt, but rarely will you here a boar/hog squeal.
We are a family here. Some may be closer than others and that is only do to knowing each other longer than others. We are not good old boys, but friends who have with stood droughts and over flowing slops. We have fondled each others knives in hallways of hotels scaring punks walking by (Paradiggum
), we've opened the hatch of our Volvo's (Vulva) in the parking lot of Sunny's after being brought into hogdom and discussing the knives and appreciation with fellow hog's and their wives, we gather at shows and treat each other as brothers.
So before you decide to post or react, please consider the past and how that has made Busse Combat what it is today. Search back and see how eloquently Jerry has tusked those trash talking. That is how we all should be.

This is not to select, attack or tear down anyone, but an attempt to bring back the original attitude of Busse Combat that lured so many of us in and keeps us coming back.
