please remember my sister oficer that was killed in the line of duty.

Dennis, Words can not console the sorrow that I know you are feeling.

I lost a friend of 7 years last year he was killed by a suspect on the Proverbial Routine Traffic Stop. We all know there is no such thing. We weren't on the same department so I had to get the real story of his death second hand and it made the process really hard on me and my buddies on different departments.

All I can say is that it never makes sense and we all mourn when one of our sisters or brothers dies. That's why I really hate it when a cop gets criticized for just being a little to over bearing when he or she is just trying to watch their six or that of their partners.

Take care and god's speed brother.

Dennis--It's only by virtue of the commitment of those who offer their lives in service that the rest of us can live so free and safe. My thoughts are with you and your fellow officers during this difficult time, and with the family of your fallen comrade.

Shootist: As you know, LEO face unforseen hazards daily, take comfort in knowing this fine individual died responding to help...there is no finer example of heroism. This saddens me greatly. My deepest condolences.

Shootist,

Feeling inadequate on this end since I know that words don't really help but I do know that sharing the sorrow sometimes does. Seeing all the heartfelt comments reinforces that there is a 'community' here and truly brings home the importance of those that effect our lives. Yes I'm giving my wife and daughter an extra hug tonite, we never know, it could be the last. All thoughts are with you and yours, take care.

shootist,
Very sorry for yours and the departments loss. If I could offer one piece of advise I would tell you to continue be there for the families of the two deputies. They will need your support. Years later they will remember what your department did or didn't do for them.
God Bless,
Magilla
