I am having the same problem. I noticed it a bit earlier though, thought it was a problem with my phone. Just tried the desk top and getting the same message that The Count posted.

Same error message as above when I attempt a search. I also tried to upload a screenshot .jpg of the error message from my computer and was unable.
 
I wanted to search for a thread about the tang stamp on the 50th Anniversary Buck 110 and got the same message.

I really hope that BFC is not being hacked or whatever ....

I'm trying to see a list of started threads and post count. This comes up:

I've gotten that error message multiple times in the past few minutes, when I first click on "Replies" to see who posted in a thread, and then on the number to see the posts from a particular person. It's happened with every thread I've tried. Exactly the same error message each time:

connection to localhost:9312 failed (errno=111, msg=Connection refused)

First time I tried to post this thread I got dotdefender: 94c9-f0aa-2fac-7aef

Now I'll try again ...

Ditto, and I've been getting it all day. Firefox, Safari, and Chrome — makes no diff.

The hunter-gatherer squirrels that run the search engine are on strike or something.
 
When I try do search within a forum, I receive the following error message:
