THANK YOU ALL Again SOOOO Much for the Prayers and Get Well Wishes. We called this evening to see how she was doing and they said she is up and running around and that you could never tell she had surgery, she is in that high spirits. And to think yesterday that she was that bad off that they mentioned putting her down as an option. Through ALL your Love, Prayers, and Support, she is up and at it. Its amazing what a strong will and power of prayer can do....!

Thank You ALL from the bottom of my heart.

Preyer sent!
From our heart, my wife,me and Desy our Golden Retriever : "in gamba Belle!"

I pray for Belle.
To the faithful companions are loved more than many people. They are fantastic.

Prayers sent to Belle. While it is good to remain realistic, know that you can only do what you can do. That can sometimes feel like a helpless situation....BUT despite this, never lose hope! Keep giving her all the love you can give her. May a miracle find her way and may she be with you, happy and healthy, much much longer than her condition would normally dictate.

Prayers sent.
Very happy to read that she's starting the recovery process.

Again, THANK YOU ALL with ALL my heart. Each and Every Post meant so much to me and I KNOW the prayers is what helped to bring her home to me. THANK YOU...!!!

We went to the animal hospital and picked Belle up this afternoon. She has the clear lamp shade on her head....lol. Still as cute and lovable as ever though. She has been resting a lot today. She has been drinking lots of water which is good. She has not eaten much as of yet, but they said it may take up to 36 hours before she starts eating again, which is normal. No or very little steps for 14 days. There is 1 step up in the house and 2 to go outside, so that makes it a lot easier for her. I am sure in a few days, she will be more nimble. For now though, rest is the key.
I will keep everyone updated.........Thanks Again....!!!

It won't be easy getting a normally active dog to rest.

I hear ya. I think for these first few days home, she will be sleep from the surgery and all. After that is when she will be up and about and wanna run around. They said after the staples come out, she can return to full activity, which is 14 days. Its a pretty big incision. Looks to be 5-6" from a quick look at it. So I just want and HOPE that we can keep her subdued a little so it heals properly. She is NOT a fan of the lampshade on the head though.....LOL.

I'm not part of the CRK crowd, but I happened upon your thread..

My best wishes and prayers for a full and speedy recovery for Belle. They are family, the pic of Belle on your first post in this thread broke my heart - we just put our Kimber to rest this past Monday. They deserve all our efforts, you'll never regret doing everything you can.

All the best for you and your pooch..

What a beautiful and sweet girl.... Best wishes and prayers for a speedy recovery!
