  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Please show me your Becker lanyards

willworship, that sliding piece of sinnet looks like a great idea, might try that one of these days. I usually just do an adjustable noose, but been fascinated by lanyard knots lately. Knots can be quite addictive, I'm thinking of destroying the rubber handle on my hissatsu and doing turk heads at both ends with an asian wrap in the middle.

I make all my own "pull" lanyards for my folders, and always throw a retention lanyard on any big knife I get, but my limited time (and patience) left me wanting for something that looked and performed better. So alas, I confess, I farmed out my retention lanyard needs to The Paracordist (BFC Maker/Craftsman), and ordered two of these:

I've got one that stays on my BK2 that's always on my pack, which is always with me in the Jeep, and the other one is on whichever I'm using at the time, my BK9 or Gurkha Kukri.

Here's the 2 with my plain-Jane amateur attempt:

And here it is with the Paracordist PSK:

If you like knots, use a lanyard knot to attach to the knife - a chinese button or walker knot for the end - and a turks head as your adjustment slide.

For a pull lanyard, use window blind cord and end with a monkey paw

Fixed that for ya :D

I just use a loop of 3/16 shock cord. Play around and get it tied so the length is just right with enough stretch that it locks into your hand.

I missed this one somehow, probably because I wasn't showering. Now I need a Spartan bead.

I went ahead and put a lanyard on my 2, just a basic one with a overhand on either end and a cobra stitch slide. If you really want a fancy one check out (if this is deal spotting then let me know and I will remove the link) Paracord Jason Tanyards (lanyards for tangs). They aren't cheap, but they are excellent quality and come in more colors than most people can think of or name....
