Please spyderco

What would make it much more expensive than the Ti Military? People pay $300+ for s90v and carbon fiber.

I like the compression lock but I don't think they have to keep it if they made a Ti version (if that is the main reason why it is cost prohibitive). Just make it a frame lock if that keeps the cost down.

Yeah I totally agree, i like the compression lock but I like the blade more. A frame lock para 2 would be awsome.

How about more models with the Ball Bearing lock for us lefties or more left-handed liner locks??

New lock for a specific model = new tooling = big $$$
Look at the recent uprising over the cost of the new Starmate. That knife has new tooling and people were trippin. :)

I would imagine that redesigning the lock interface would be far less cost effective than making it with the compression lock. For the record I would buy one as long as it was around the $200 dollar mark.

Excellent point, I didn't think of the re-tooling cost. Shows my ignorance where mfg is concerned. It seems so simple when the idea is floating around in my head. :)

The ATR was available in a titanium compression lock, I don't think it would be drastically different in design changes for the Paramilitary 2. If anything, there would be less steps and parts involved by skipping the milled G10 and nested liners. I'd like a few.

Spyderco has done integral compression locks before for the ti salsa and the atr I believe. I don't see how it would be that much harder to do for the para in the same way. Still they'd probably go for ~$250 street
