Dan Brock of Plow Share Forge makes a lot of historic fighting knives and knuckledusters.
His Musso bowie is one of most authentic and best looking repros.
This one was made out of 1095 or 1060/1080, according to Dan and custom runs around 210usd.
The blade measures 9 1/2" long, 2 3/4" at it's widest, and 1/8" thick. The total length is 14 1/4". The wood used for handle is very hard and endure your abuse.
Unfortunately I forgot what kind. The sheath is made of good, stiff leather, stitched and riveted. The tang is peened to the guard like the originals. The sheath has some scratches at the bottom, which kind of add to the overall look and feel of the knife.
His signature "X-Monkey Wrench".
The same "flamed" effect on the finger-guard:
Like most Bowie it comes with a clip point, sharpened swedge and a finger rest/cho.
The Roman Numerals MMV marks the date of production as 2005.
Another that come closer looks like this:

This blade has never been used for chopping, sharpened nor slicing. It was re-sheathed again and again for admiration.
Selling this for 150+ international shipping with tracking number. I hate to do so but i have to fund for another project.$OLD
Thanks for looking.
First "I'll Take It" gets it. PM/email me for questions.
