Pls help, there's something wrong with my MT LCC

Well just now i was playing with my MT LCC. Opening it a couple of times with a strong wrist flick action. Then suddenly it became hard to open and close. I swear that it used to have a very smooth action before. So i thought that it just needs some lubrication, after putting some oil, still the same rough open and close.

Then i looked closely at the bronze washers, i think one is misaligned and became off-center. I tried to push it back but it wouldn't move.

What am i going to do? Should i disassemble the LCC and try to fix it myself? How can i do this? Or should i send it back to MT?

Please help

Im going to suggest you post this over at www.microholics.com and the microtech forum at www.knifeforums.com Both those boards were/are factory authorized forums, and specialize in microtechs. Someone there is sure to give you the help you need. Before you undertake any repair work yourself on the LCC, be sure to contact microtech for advice on this, they will most likely tell you not to do it as it generally voids teh warrantee. Good Luck.

Bat,
I don't want to talk you into doing anything that would void your warranty, but in consideration of where you live, I can't imagine the good folks at MT would fault you for checking the tightness of the blade pivot screw (a simple torx head screw, IIRC). The blade pivot screw on my first LCC began working itself loose shortly after I took delivery. In my case I only became aware of this because the engagement of the liner lock was affected. A quick tightening was all that was required to make things right again. I'm wondering if it might be possible that your screw loosened enough to allow the bronze washer to get wedged between the handle and the blade pivot bushing. You may want to try backing out the pivot screw a tad more to see if the bronze washer could be coaxed back into place and then retighten. Good luck.

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm going to try a few things and most probably not send back the LCC, as what tom said due to where i live.

I'll contact microtech first and see if they can help. Thanks again.
