Plumb Boy Scout Hatchet PICS!

Finally got the handle removed with the help of a friend! Now I have it soaking in some vinegar. Will try for tomorrow for the new handle.

I was going through my Grandpa's work shed and found a old Hatchet marked, Genuine Plumb, and it has a the BSA logo on it. It needs alot of work! Ill post pics tomorrow.

Here is the one my pops gave me, It's marked PLUMB under the BSA fleur de lis. The photo quality and sap buildup on the head make it near impossible to see but here it is anyway.

After the long soak, about 1.5" of the steel darkened from the edge to the back. Im guessing the hardened part? Tried to put the handle in and it didnt come anywhere close to fitting in. Im going to have to do ALOT of sanding! But its coming along great. Will post pics of it completed.

just sandblast it, wood looks like it's in good quality, probably kept it away from moisture
