Pefectt thanks .some people on fb were making it out to be a big deal .looking forward to this project iv two national patterns on the way .one has a 16 inch handle but the head is 1 and 3/4 pounds I'm thinking it might be better on a 20 inch straight handle .only problem is I live in Ireland and straight handles are something iv never seen here and iv never seen a good handle in person .mabe I'll order a hultafors carpenter axe handlePermabond isn't a big deal. You just drill it out then scrape out the remains with a file.
