PM 2/3 Sprint Runs

They already came out months ago with a para 3 CruWear. And it was like $20 more than S30V, I could not say no.

That Cruwear Para 3 looks great. I love the way the gray scales have a patina to them!

Yeah, I have no idea if anything I was doing helped to cause the look. I don’t think I was working with a oil or solvent or food prep, etc. But all my knives are users, first thing I do when I get a new knife is throw away the box.

I’d also like to see a regular production cruwear blade from Golden. K390 would be nice, but cruwear is more likely, but maybe not popular enough. Cruwear is the perfect balance steel, and I don’t know why nobody uses it in a production knife. One can argue that there isn’t demand, but there wouldn’t be demand for s30v if the big American companies didn’t use it as their base steel either. And Spyderco didn’t have a problem procuring enough s110v.

Couldn't agree more. I would like to see Cruwear offered on all of the Golden made models. It really should be a standard production. I would like to see them offer BD1 for a budget steel, M390/CTS-204P for the standard steel, S110V for the high wear resistant steel, and Cruwear for the tough mostly stainless option. Then sprints and exclusives in all the rest.

I love the tan S35VN model. The tan scales look really good in person. I agree about upgrading standard models steel. However... If they offer S30V, which all in all is a really good steel, a lot of people just want a quality knife, other people will be motivated to try out the newer steels on limited runs. If they can sell you one PM2, why not three or six? Business is obviously in play they do it intelligently and it works well with their customers.

I picked up the BHQ translucent / DLC M4 PM2, two blue Bento M390 Para 3s, and a tan S35VN PM2. The forum knife is out this month as well. Im not a fan of orange handles, I get why a lot of people are but I didnt do the Rex 45 and will ignore whatever is upcoming that I saw on the list.

I really like that. Especially a budget model in BD1; that I hadn't even considered. The PM2/3 platform is so great that the more variations the better.

S30v is affordable, I don't see that changing as the base model. And Byrd is the budget line.

Looks like another Para 3 exclusive is coming from St Nicks, red G10 and black blade, no idea on blade steel. Also another exclusive PM2 from DLT, tan with a satin 20CV blade.

I would buy a base model PM3 if it came with an S35VN blade. I'd also like one in CruWear. So far, the Rex is outta sight. Insano sharp with just a few swipes on the strop.
