I bit the bullet and i ordered a digi cam with black blade para 2 from knifeworks!!! I hope i love this knife. Well now that i think of it i hope i don't with all the awesome sprint runs :/
 
The PM2 is a great knife. There have been a bunch of refinements to the knife that really make it stand out in the Spyderco line up. I am sure you will really like it. If you are interested in getting one with some of the super steels you will be able to if you do not mind paying a little more. Cutlery Shoppe has one in CTS XHP and Bento Box Shop has a blue one with M390.

ya i was super close to making the smurf my frist para but for some reason i decided to order the digi/black combo.
 
I don't think you can go wrong with any PM2. Some people do not think that S30V is the best steel to hold a scary sharp edge for a long time. It will hold a reasonable edge for a long time. If you want options then you have CTS XHP, M390, and/or S90V. Make sure you like the knife before you seek the more pricey versions. :D

Ya i think s30v is more than fine with my needs, and ya i don't want to drop loads of cash for something i mighta not liked.

Im thinking of ordering a a m390 para as a safe queen but im having second thoughts!!!!! why o why!
 
if i had the money i would get the same setup you got and 2 blue ones (one user and one as a collection piece). well actually i have the money but its complicated....

Ya i have the $$ to do it aswell, but it just hurts too much to drop another 180$ bucks. And im also about to buy a paper wheels setup so that is also gonna be 100$
 
Congrats on getting a Para 2. Hands down my favorite folding knife ever and one of the greatest Spyderco knives ever designed. The only downside to getting a Para 2 is that you'll probably want to get another and another and another... Not that it's a bad thing. ;)
 
I've got a satin-digi-camo, a blue M390, and an orange CTS-XHP on order. I'm seriously fighting the urge to pick up an S90v or CTS-20CP one now.
 
I just picked up my first para-military 2 last friday. I really love how it is built and how much fun it is to play with. I wish they made a 4" blade version, wishing.
