If you have conversations from before the platform change, I believe each message counts as a separate conversation
 
Is there an easy way to do bulk erase if old messages, or do I have to delete them individually?

It is ridiculous that $60 a year provides space for a mere 500 messages. It’s a messaging forum!

On the left side, under "inbox" "select all"
Click that- Then a popup should say something to the effect of "Leave conversation"

As to the 500 messages allowed, that limit was stated when you selected the purchase option for the Platinum membership. Should have been somewhat obvious the limitations.
Honestly, that is an INCREASE from the last software which I believe was 200-300. Don't really quite remember the quantity. 500 is actually quite alot unless you want to archive messages in perpetuity I suppose.
