Thought this one was like my po' boy NC/Tn .32 black powder rifle in the sense that both are pretty basic in style, not real fancy, well done and darn deadly in the right hands. This blade is forged 1095, flat grind, long distal taper, light etch and quick at the point. You can see the quench transition line with a cool shadow right in front of the guard. The double guard is stainless and has three leather pieces with red spacers behind it. The handle looks like maple, but it's really nice curly walnut with figure all the way through. This is a pretty big package, but fits nice and snug in the hand. Comes with a custom sheath with a removable frog belt loop that has snaps on the back to allow removal without taking off the belt.
