If you can see a theme here, it's that I'm not really into big knives anymore.
Po'Boy Roadhouse by Alex Dietz -$285 SOLD - I bought this 2011 Roadhouse LNIB and sent it over to Alex Dietz to have it modified into a po'boy. The quality of the work is excellent. The fit between the green micarta and the titanium bolsters is nearly flawless, as is the jimping. Have not used it since I received it back from him. Lockup is solid and early, and the detent is especially strong for an Emerson. Centering is slightly off to the nonlocking side. It can be flicked out with the thumb disk, which is unusual and has a significant amount of blade retention when closed. Bolsters are media blasted and do have some snail trails/scratching, which I have attempted to capture in the picture. Pete Grey titanium thumb disk. Does not come with original scales.
Benchmade 806 AFCK M390 Knifeworks Exclusive - $250 SOLD - A very hard to find knife, 336 of 400. Purchased LNIB from a collector, very lightly used it myself. One very small imperfection in the stonewashing on the blade on the clip side, which can only be seen in the right light. Touched up at factory edge angles with my WE ceramics. Typical axis lock smoothness and robust lockup. Centering is dead on. Cannot find a single mark from carry on it. Includes all original packaging material and box.
Zero Tolerance 0600 - $300 SOLD - Purchased this one second hand, resharpened it to a mirror edge on my EP following the factory angles. This one is not cosmetically perfect and will make a great user. While stropping on 3M trizact pad, I went to shallow with my angle and it caused some microfine scratching above the secondary bevel on both sides of the blade, which can only been seen when oriented towards the light. Otherwise, it just appears like the stonewash is a bit clearer towards the secondary bevel. There is also one small scratch to the left of the "B" in the "B75P" marking. Pocket clip shows wear marks. Otherwise, typical ZT fit and finish. Lockup and centering are perfect. Flips surprisingly well for such a large and heavy blade. Closes under its own weight. Comes in original box.
Southern Grind Bad Monkey - $150 SOLD - Bought LNIB from the exchange, carried and used. Has been resharpened at factory angles on my WE, is seriously sharp now. Does have some scratching on the primary grind right above the secondary bevel near the heel on the presentation side and one scratch near the tip on the reverse side. Due to the highly reflective finish, I wasn't able to properly photograph them, but I tried. Fit and finish on these is tremendous, a substantial amount of handwork goes into each one. Super smooth, perfectly centered, with solid early lockup. Does not have the weak detent of the early runs. Recently had the entire handle replaced by SG for some lock issues, which have been corrected. There is a small void in the CF that has been photographed. Includes tools/keychain/paracord bracelet from SG.
