Pocket Beast.

Question for my large folder brother in arms...

At what point do you start encountering negative social feedback on knives?

I'm heading out with kids later to meet my wife for pizza before church. In preparation, I just reached into my EDC bowl and replaced my 110 with my smaller 500. It's not uncommon to need to cut pizza and the big solid "clack" of a 110 locking up and the sight of the upcurved clip point usually causes quite a fluster here in Suburbia. Definitely not office friendly.

Do you have pocket beasts that you only use when you know you'll be in places where its more OK to pull them out (e.g. hunting camp, in your own shop, etc...)

My first GEC was also my first stag. I do EDC it from time to time. It'll be in vegas next week.

These are beautiful knives and pics of the big guys of the knife world.
Keep it up fellows.

Dave, I guess we'll go with 4'' handles.

My Case Classic Moose is a little bulky:

Folding Hunters are always a pocket full:

My largest is a Rough Rider swing guard:

My bigger ones get a lot of carry.

The 4 on the left (S&M grandaddy barlow, Queen/Burke grandaddy barlow single, AG Russell Cowboy, and GEC sunfish)

The Barlow's take up a lot of hand!

Now all I need is a swell center rope knife!

I carry what I want, when I want. If I'm someplace a big folder/fixed blade being used might not be appropriate, well, that's what the little knife is for.

Haha. Almost. I can get both hands on it, but it's really a one-handed sword. You can see the EO-notch I put in it here, as well.

Some more #23s

The Tuna Valley 4 bladers are pretty big too. A little thicker than a GEC #53

Honestly, a >4" knife is a bit too big for me, so I don't carry any of these beasts, but it's good to see pics :) and see that others actually carry big knives with no issues in terms of pocket comfort.
Now that I remember, my brother in law carries a big folder (around 4 1/2" if not more), so when I see him I will try to take a pic of his knife to contribute actively to this thread :D

I have several "beasts" that aren't traditionals. I like big knives. :D That said, the smaller knives are more useful.

This Queen Model 39 Q78, I picked up off the bay but I really doubt I will carry it in my pocket. I didn't get a sheath so if I wanted to carry it it would have to be in the pocket.
