Pocket Clip for Izula

:D I ordered a Nite Ize metal pocket clip, in black from countycomm...works great. I can still use it for a neck knife or carry on belt or on a pocket. Sorry the pics are not very good.:thumbup:

Yet... ;)

3M is good stuff, but anything that is not using an actual fastener is subject to coming undone. Crazy glue, epoxy, even aircraft-certified adhesives, etc. can all succumb to the rigors we subject our gear to.

Shouldn't be a problem with your pocket carry, but I wouldn't bet my Izzy on 3M tape alone, personally.
 
Is the back of that clip a solid strip of steel? If so it might be possible to drill a hole in it and use a screw right into one of the holes on the Izula (or HEST) sheath..

Something to look into..good post I might pick one up.
 
FWIW, I'm not trying to bash the idea - I really like it, actually - may just want to consider plussing it up with some insurance in the form of a rivet or two or something...
 
If its not going to come off, its not going to come off. I have never used 3M tape but its not like the molle lock is perfect either.

Just give it a good test and be happy. I just gotta find one for myself.

Not sure if the clip is solid on the back...the tape covers the back. I'm going to keep an eye on the tape...don't want to loose my favorite knife! :thumbup:

You could rig up a dummy cord in case the tape decides to behave badly...
 
Something overlooked about the Nite Ize Eclipse clip is that it actually latches onto your pocket and a small catch must be pressed to release it from your pocket, making it ideal for a sheathed knife like the Izula.
