Pocket clips & blade lengths in NYC

I'm a native NY'er who has been away for many years. I may accept a job there shortly, and need the scoop. Ex. Will a policeman take notice a pocket clip ?
Are one hand openers, and assisted openers legal, and to what blade length will I be ok?

In short yes. Urban camo is very popular. Colored clips to match up to pants colors, and even emboridered little slots like button holes have been done to allow the clips to slide into the hole made rigth under the lip of the pocket where the clip slides on. This allows for the clip going under the pant leg and has been used in many major cities by knife carriers just to keep attention from being drawn to their knives but then there are perhaps legal issues there as well if say the talk of illegal concealed carry were to come up about it.

I saw a pair of pants at the Tulsa gun and knife show about a year ago that had these and the embroidered hole was stragically placed so as to allow just a bit of the metal clip to show but not all of it just to skirt this law. I am going to that show again this weekend so perhaps I'll see the maker again.

Whether it would work or not is a gray area though. I'd recommend the colored clip or removing the clip and going pocket carry only.

I'll be driving all NY state for work. should I get a 4 wheel drive , or is front ok ?
