I don't use the clip. Some knives I remove it (CRKT small ripple, Spyderco dragonfly2).

Too many cases of losing or almost losing knives clipped to my pocket.

Only reason I leave a clip on is sometime it provides a good purchase for deploying the blade.

As for carry, I just put the knife in my pocket.

Carefull where / how you sit. The only knife I ever lost was a traditional with no clip. Sitting in a very low sports car ( can reach over and down and touch the ground, not an exspensive car though) the knife slid up to the top of my pocket and some how came out in a parking lot. I went back for it within minutes as soon as i didn't feel it in my pocket but someone had snagged it.

I tried Pull and Slide with my largest Holdout, my at home EDC because it is big enough to cut up cinnamon rolls, and clipping onto my thick sweat pants I tended to pinch the end of my finger against the thick top of my pocket and not really be able to pry it up much. When I just jam it on the pocket it works great (the long Cold Steel clip is excellent which this is).

Looks sculpted and practical. I like it.

Two questions : What is the groove that runs the length of the handle on the side ? Is it decorative or part of how it is assembled . . . or ?

And what is a Suspension Clip please ?

The line serves no purpose, it's an injection moulded frn without any steel liners or anything ( it's a light duty 20$ knife so it doesn't bother me one bit )

Here's a suspension clip, one I made.

Yeah the pull is just to get over that thicker portion of the pocket usually. I might hold the pull longer and even do a bit of a pull when I remove it from pocket if the scale material is also exceptionally aggressive ie Emerson style G-10.

Solve your problems and get a G&G hawk clip. Press the tab to release pressure.

Mind you these jeans were ripped from prior to owning the hawk clip.

Hey now there's a thought.
Nice one.
Thanks
When the knife is a little large to bump on one's leg in the bottom of the pocket and don't want to fool around with a belt pouch there is : The Suspension Clip.
I made mine, but you should check out the relatively inexpensive Tech accessories P-7 suspension clip.
