Pocket clips etc. in NYC ?

May be moving there. Will the police take notice of visable clips, and if so, am I ok ?
Also, are assisted openers, and one hand openers ok ?
What about blade lengths ?
I'd appreciate specifics on each question.

I wouldn't have any visible clips showing. I once had a bad experience with them when a cop spotted it and I had to give it to him to look over. He gave it back to me, but who needs the aggravation.

Assisted openers are hit and miss. Depends on the cop.

Blade length should be under 4".

There are several threads on this so just do a search, but the short on it is as follow....under 4" blade, NOT visible in any way- no belt pouch-no visible clip, can not be flicked open ANYWAY including holding the blade and flicking the handle open.....there are some knives that meet this requirement, but not many. if the blade does not lock when opened then the ability to flick open no longer matters as a gravity knife needs to lock open .....
